Most daily shopping in Kfar Saba happens on Weizmann St and in four malls. Kashrut is supervised by the city's religious council, and the official list is public, so you can check any shop yourself.
How to check a hechsher
The Ministry of Religious Services portal lists 194 businesses certified by the Kfar Saba religious council (5 October 2026): 18 mehadrin and 175 regular. All current certificates run to 23 Shevat 5787, about 31 January 2027 (kashrut portal (opens in a new tab)). The council's kashrut department says only an original, valid certificate on the wall proves a business is kosher (kashrut department (opens in a new tab)). Each restaurant and food listing on this site shows the certificate level exactly as the portal gives it.
Certified places cluster on Weizmann St, Rothschild and Tchernichovsky Sts, the malls and the HaTa'as / Atirei Yeda / Yohanan HaSandlar business areas.
Mehadrin places
Mehadrin-level certificates include American Pizza (42 Weizmann), Pizza Pix (160 Weizmann), Pizza Ziggy Mushroom (52 Yerushalayim), Boutique Central (125 Weizmann), HaLechem shel Saba and New York Bagels (HaTa'as St), Bagel Cafe and Ruben (HaYeruka mall, 3 Rappaport), Hummus Eliyahu (6 Atirei Yeda), Rak Marak (Arim) and Nomili (2 HaYotzrim) (kashrut portal (opens in a new tab)).
One detail that surprises people: the McDonald's in G Kfar Saba (301 Weizmann St) is on the council's kashrut list; other McDonald's branches in the city are not.
Supermarkets
On the council's kashrut list: Shufersal Sheli (29 Weizmann, 65 Rothschild), Shufersal Deal Shviro (HaYeruka), Universe (G), Rami Levy (Galgalei HaPlada), Osher Ad, Yochananof (Atirei Yeda), Carrefour Hyper and two Carrefour City stores, Victory (78 Engel) and Shuk HaIr. Shufersal Express branches, Tiv Taam and Keshet Teamim do not appear on it (kashrut portal (opens in a new tab)). Note that store-file addresses and the kashrut portal sometimes disagree; I have listed the version I could source and flagged it for checking.
The four shopping areas
Hebrew Wikipedia lists (Hebrew Wikipedia (opens in a new tab), community source):
- Weizmann St and Kanyon Arim in the centre. Arim (14 Berl Katznelson St) is open Sun-Thu 09:00-21:00, Fri 09:00-15:00 and Saturday night from half an hour after Shabbat to 22:30, with about 1,500 free parking spaces (Arim Mall (opens in a new tab)).
- G Kfar Saba at the east end of Weizmann, the city's largest shopping and leisure complex with a cinema and bowling; its operator says it is open on Shabbat (G Kfar Saba (opens in a new tab)).
- Kanyon Kfar Saba HaYeruka (3 Rappaport St), open Sun-Thu 09:30-21:00, Fri 09:00-14:00 and after Shabbat to 23:00, with Thursday-Friday food and craft stalls and Friday Kabbalat Shabbat music events (HaYeruka mall (opens in a new tab)).
- Oshiland in the Atir Yeda hi-tech zone, with a cinema.
The Weizmann St central market at no. 127 has a produce stall and a fish shop on the kashrut list. See the shopping listings.
Secondhand and English books
ESRA's charity shop Picki at 45 Rothschild St sells clothing, household goods and English-language books, is staffed by English-speaking volunteers and accepts donations (ESRA (opens in a new tab)). The Eli Cohen branch library has English books too. See the listing.
What I could not confirm
I did not find a French or English grocery or deli in the city, or a list of local gemachs beyond Yad Sarah. If you know one, please tell me.
