Health funds, Meir hospital and urgent care in Kfar Saba

Kfar Saba has its own general hospital, Meir Medical Center, and all four health funds. Here is where to go for what, and the numbers to save.

Meir Medical Center

Meir is at 59 Tchernichovsky St. Its English phone page lists the switchboard 09-7472555, the general ER 09-7472321/2, the paediatric ER 09-7472330/1, the women's ER 09-7472248 and the delivery room 09-7472235 (Meir, English (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)). The outpatient appointment centre is 09-7471555 (Sun-Thu 08:00-16:00) (Meir contact (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)).

The new emergency department building opened in 2024, treats over 140,000 patients a year, and Meir is a recognised regional trauma centre (Meir ER (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)). Parking is in an IPI-run lot of about 600 spaces at 25 NIS for a full day; it is usually packed 09:00-13:00 and the hospital recommends public transport (Getting here (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)). Evenings, weekends and Shabbat: urgent care

Bikur Rofe runs an urgent care centre in the Medical HaSharon building, 12 Eli Horowitz St, 5th floor, tel. 09-7455554. Its own site gives Sun-Thu 17:00-24:00, Fridays and holiday eves 14:00-24:00, and Shabbat and holidays 09:00-24:00, with X-ray, blood count, IV fluids, trauma care and an orthopaedist (Bikur Rofe (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)). Clalit's directory shows weekday opening from 19:00, so call before you go (Clalit (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)). See the listing.

Two gaps to know about: Terem has no clinic in Kfar Saba or Ra'anana; its nearest centres are Netanya, Petah Tikva and Rosh HaAyin (Terem (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)). Meuhedet's own evening urgent care is not in the Sharon either (nearest: Petah Tikva), though it offers a 24/7 video consultation (Meuhedet (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)).

The four health funds in town

• Clalit lists seven primary care clinics (Ben Gurion, Rishonim-Lamfert, HaGalil, Eliezer, Kaplan, Hadarim and BaYeruka), most with a pharmacy, and five Tipat Halav stations (Clalit dataset (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)). See the health fund listings.
• Maccabi has two medical centres: 56 Rothschild St (09-7644666) and Kfar Saba HaYeruka, 3 Rapoport St (09-8868200), each with a Maccabi Pharm (Maccabi (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)).
• Meuhedet is at 20 HaMeyasdim St (municipal map: 09-7641232) (municipal facilities map (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)).
• Leumit has one medical centre, at 83 Weizmann St (09-7757900) (Leumit (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)).

Doctors who list English or French

Maccabi's service guide had 108 doctor listings at Kfar Saba addresses on 5 October 2026: 100 of the doctors list English and 8 list French (Maccabi (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)). I picked a few family doctors, paediatricians and French speakers for the doctors directory; search Maccabi's guide by language for the full list.

The Anglo Doctors in Israel directory (self-submitted listings) has three English-speaking doctors working in Kfar Saba, including two with private clinics at 3 Rappaport St (Anglo Doctors (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)). I found no source for English- or French-speaking dentists or private therapists in the city.

Duty pharmacies at night and on Shabbat

Kfar Saba, Ra'anana and Hod HaSharon share one duty-pharmacy rota (municipality (נפתח בכרטיסייה חדשה)):

• Sun-Thu the duty pharmacy is open until 20:00; from 20:00 to 08:00 the pharmacist can be called in by phone for prescription medicines only, for a fee of 70-100 NIS;
• Fridays and holiday eves it is open 18:00-22:00;
• on Shabbat (08:00-20:00) the pharmacist can be called in for prescriptions only, for a fee.
